Run Route
A stroller friendly run through downtown Leonardtown. Starting and finishing at The Wharf Park. Aid stations will be set up throughout the route with Post race festivities that you don't want to miss. Superhero training, obstacle course, photobooth , prizes, Kona Ice and fantastic local vendors to check out

Noon-Post Race Activities wrap up

All Registered race participants will receive a medal. Adults will receive a custom-designed superhero race shirt. Registered Kids (18 and under) will receive a superhero cape.

Early registration pick-up: Friday Sep 21- 6:30-8:30pm at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church-44078 St Andrews Church Rd.

Parking: Available at the Leonardtown Wharf Park til full and in Downtown Leonardtown.

Our Mission
The Discover U Children's Museum will exist to empower the next generation of change makers and to enrich all children through exploration and play-sparking lifelong learning, confidence and compassion rooted in S.T.E.A.M. and environmental education. We are an incorporated 501c3 with a vision of bringing a world class children's museum to Southern Maryland-St. Mary’s county.
Our Vision
The Discover U Children's Museum envisions a future in which all children in our community are inspired to be dreamers and change makers. We believe in the power of play to transform lives of children. We seek to be a vital community resource where children from economically and culturally diverse backgrounds explore, imagine and discover together.
In addition providing community space for the exchange of ideas; workshops and conferences to enrich and strengthen the community.
Grassroots & Growing
Our academic focus is on children ages 0 to 14, with an Entrepreneur and Innovation Think Tank for
Middle & High School age.
In addition, future offers for all ages:
• Self-directed and staff-guided “exploration opportunities” on site
• Focused outreach programs off site and in conference space
• Professional development opportunities for area educators and the community
• Volunteer and internship opportunities for high school and college students
• Research opportunities for college faculty
